STUDIO RULES & POLICIES
There will be no refunds issued for dance sessions once classes begin. This includes all classes, workshops, concerts, camps and PMDI paraphernalia. A credit will be issued to your account if you experience any changes.
Weekly attendance is mandatory. Students are more than welcome to sit in on classes if they are injured. Ensemble member who have more than three absences will be flagged for suspension.
Tuition/Late Fee Charge
Tuition is due before the semester begins, monthly payment plans are available upon request. Monthly payments are due on the 25th of each month. Declined or late funds, and returned checks will acquire a $35 charge. PMDI has the right to refuse class participation for anyone that has not submitted tuition payment. ACH and Auto-Debit opt-outs will incur a $35 administration fee.
Dress Code/Class Uniform
Each class has a mandatory dress code. Dancers are issued a warning the first week they are without proper attire. The second week they will be asked to audit the class until the proper attire has been acquired. See Uniform Requirements page for details.
Hair: All hair must be in a neat high ballet bun for EVERY class. No beads, hair accessories, or bangs should be in the face.
-Arrive 15 minutes before class.
-No talking once class has started.
-No food, colored beverages or street shoes in the studio.
-Student more than 10 minutes late will not be allowed to participate in the dance class.
Photo & Video Release
PMDI serves the right to use all photos and videos taken on the premises or during off-site performances for marketing purposes. Objections to photo or video release must be submitted in writing to the studio. Parents cannot take video or photos without permission from instructor.
Make up classes will not be granted without 2 weeks of prior notice. If a student is seriously ill or injured, we will accept an official doctors’ notice and offer up to 2 make-up classes per semester. Classes should be made up within two weeks of absence. NO MAKE-UP WEEKS WILL BE OFFERED.
Each semester closes with a showcase or concert. Participation in the performance in mandatory and includes additional fees and mandatory rehearsals.
Each semester we offer an open class week for you to view your dancer’s class. This allows you to see the progress they have made since the beginning of the semester with us.
Studio Closing/Inclement Weather
Studio closings will be posted on website and notices will be sent via email and text messages. You may also call the studio or email us for the latest update.
All parents must have insurance coverage for their dancer.
By registering your dancer to PMDI you agree to receive text message and email campaign which include studio schedule updates, upcoming events, deadline reminders, and discounts.
THERE IS A ZERO TOLERANCE FOR BULLYING!
Bullying will result in suspension and/or removal from dance classes and/or resident companies.
